Environmental policy

１. We carry out environmentally friendly activities

In conducting our business activities, we always take into account our impact on environmental resources as well as the energy consumption, waste generated, and emissions associated with manufacture of soft packaging materials, and we promote environmental conservation through the following initiatives.

1. Promoting energy-saving
   In 2015, total energy consumption and CO2 emissions across all our offices was reduced by 10% compared to FY2005 levels.
2. Promoting resource-saving
   Promoting waste recycling and reducing losses of raw materials and intermediary materials, etc.
3. Promoting paperless business
   Making business paperless by digitizing files

２. We ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.

We are committed to environmental conservation, and we comply with environmental laws and regulations, industry standards, agreements, and voluntary standards. (including the energy saving law, Air Pollution Control Law, Clean Water Act, Waste Management and Public Cleansing Law, Law for Promotion of Sorted Collection and Recycling of Containers and Packaging, Pollutant Release and Transfer Register (PRTR) law, etc.)

３. Promoting public awareness and enlightenment activities

1. ia internal company bulletins, morning gatherings, and meetings, we ensure all employees are aware of this policy and we promote awareness of environmental conservation.
2. We strive to thoroughly convey this policy to all outsourcers, suppliers, and contractors involved in our business activities.

４. We promote social contribution though disclosure of information and our environmental conservation activities

(1) We make our environmental policy externally available through our homepage, and we strive to contribute to society through our environmental conservation activities and by open communication with our community.
