Howa Sangyo Co., Ltd. has acquired ISCC PLUS certification, an international certification system for sustainable products.

ISCC PLUS certification is a system to ensure that a system has been established to appropriately manage biomass and recycled raw materials and share product information across the supply chain. With the acquisition of this certification, we are now able to manufacture ISCC PLUS certified products at our four factories (Narashino, Hikata, Kyoto and Fukuoka). In addition, we can handle plastic films with biomass raw material attribution using the mass balance method, and have created the environment for manufacturing products with a higher biomass content than before.

In accordance with the latest ISCC regulations, we promise and declare that we will comply with the ISCC PLUS requirements, and we will work further to strengthen the development of environmentally friendly packaging materials towards the realization of carbon neutrality by 2050.
