As part of Rengo Group’s business restructuring, Howa Sangyo Co., Ltd. announces that it will begin participating in the water-based flexo printing business by taking over the printing business operations of Kinyosha Printing Co., Ltd. and Marufuku Co., Ltd. from August 1, 2023.

In the packaging business, the development and introduction of alternatives to plastic film for the realization of a sustainable, recycling-oriented society has become an urgent and globally common issue, and we have long been focusing on the development of packaging materials using composite films and other materials that contain paper as part of their material composition. We believe that our participation in the water-based flexo printing business, which exhibits high compatibility with paper and non-woven fabric, will further accelerate the development of environmentally friendly products and provide a great opportunity for packaging innovation.

As of August 1, Kinyosha Printing’s Utsunomiya Factory and Marufuku's Miyoshi Factory will continue to operate as the Utsunomiya Factory and Miyoshi Factory, respectively, within our firm’s Flexo Business Division.

By taking over and combining the experience and technical capabilities in water-based flexo printing that both companies have cultivated over the years, we are committed to providing an even broader range of offerings to our customers.
